Jesse joined McCann Worldgroup in April 2012 as CEO of McCann Worldgroup China. In 2015, Jesse’s role was expanded to drive accelerated growth in the APAC region.
From an art director to a dot.com entrepreneur to an agency leader, Jesse has over 20 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing and communications. Prior to joining McCann Worldgroup, he successfully grew two start-up agencies (Leo Burnett Interactive Taiwan & W+K China) and one mid-size business (DDB Shanghai) in the Greater China region. After joining McCann Worldgroup, Jesse has focused on driving digitization, integration and building agency culture. As a result, the group has achieved substantial growth, particularly in digital.
Jesse has managed a wide range of blue chip clients, including Automotive (Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, Volkswagen), Beverages (Budweiser, Heineken), Beauty (C&C, L’Oré al Paris, Neutrogena, SK-II), Consumer Electronics (Acer, Beko, Electrolux), Finance (Bank of Communications, MasterCard, UnionPay), Food & Beverage (Coke, Gatorade, Lipton, McDonald’s, Quaker, Rio, Tropicana), Healthcare (Johnson & Johnson), Sports (Nike) and Technology (Electronic Arts, Yahoo!).
Jesse holds an EMBA degree at Beijing University. In 2014, he was rewarded with the 2nd place of Campaign’s Greater China Agency Head of The Year. Beyond the hectic agency life, he is the father of a ten-year-old daughter and a cycling hobbyist.
