Sean joins McCann Worldgroup from Ogilvy, where he was Managing Director of Emerging Ventures for North America. Sean’s role was to identify, define and embed new core capabilities at the cutting edge of emerging areas to maintain Ogilvy’s leadership position in North America. Sean oversaw the strategies and sourcing of potential leading capabilities across mobile, social, platforms and commerce.

Prior, Sean led the Engagement Strategy team. Sean’s team understood individual customers' needs and behaviors to create relevant brand experiences that drive acquisition, servicing and loyalty. The team developed innovative strategies that span website, email, tele, sales, mobile, social and offline channels. Sean led numerous types of strategy projects, including informational and transactional site re-launches, product launches, campaign launches, customer acquisition and loyalty programs, social media programs, site consolidation, globalization and governance. Sean worked with clients such as UPS, Time Warner Cable, American Express, DuPont, Cisco, Weight Watchers, Nestle, Fanta, Aflac, The Economist, Continental Airlines, FM Global and Ford.

Prior to Sean’s 11 years at Ogilvy, he was a founding partner of VietnamWorks, the leading recruiting website in Vietnam. Sean set up operations and managed product development and marketing for this start-up, which became the largest recruiter in Vietnam, and was sold to En-Japan. While at AGENCY.COM, a highlight of Sean’s career was building out the e-commerce strategy for Gucci, one of the first luxury brands to sell online. Sean also worked in one of the first online media departments at kirshenbaum bond senecal and partners, where he optimized online advertising creative for Sony.

In addition, Sean directed an award-winning feature-length documentary in India that was included in film festivals internationally. Sean holds a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from the University of Chicago, where he focused on South Asian Mysticism. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the California Institute of Integral Studies and is an alumnus of Vassar College.
